WHAT IS LBL?

A chance for your 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th grader to play with their own age group and their own gender under the direction of our LBC coaches who can help them learn and improve at the same time.

WHEN WILL MY TEAM PLAY?

The league is set up to accommodate both players from our host schools as well as other schools. This means the gym will be open at 3:30 pm by one of our coaches for those that want to practice, shoot around, work on homework or just hang out. However, the actual games will not begin until 5:30 pm OR 6:30 pm to give those coming from other schools time to get there. We will take requests on locations and time, but can not guarantee to accommodate 100% of requests.

WHO PLAYS?

We accept individuals from our host schools as well as all schools in the area. We will create balanced teams from these signups. We are also looking for club, school or AAU teams to join the league. Groups will be taken and can be placed on the same team as well.

With over 7,000 kids coming to our camp each year we are introducing the primary league for 5th-8th graders on the Peninsula. Our experience has told us that this age group wants to PLAY PLAY PLAY, and this is their chance.  Each player will still have the opportunity to improve under the direction of our LBC staff - mainly college players and coaches with years of experience both playing and teaching the game!

WHO COACHES?

Most teams will have a LBC coach assigned to them. Our coaches are made up of college players as well as middle school, high school and college coaches. If you’re team already has a coach - bring them!

HOW ARE THE GAMES AND LEAGUE STRUCTURED?

Games will have two 20-min halves with a running clock. The clock will stop for the final 1-minute of the first half and 2-minutes of the second half.  Scores and standings will be kept, while sportsmanship and fair play will be stressed. Each team will have 1-game each week for a guaranteed 8-games.

WHAT ARE THE DIVISIONS?

  1. -5th-6th Grade Girls                    - 5th-6th Grade Boys

HOW DOES THE EVALUATION DAY WORK?
